Packing/Itinerary

As you can see from the picture posted below, I have most of my packing done. It is always a challenge to pack very lightly, but to still bring everything that will be needed for 30 days. (By the way, you can click on any picture I post for a bigger view.)

Also, I have a new Documents section to the right side on this blog. Click on the links to open PDF files that contain my trip itinerary, a trip map, and site information.

is it all going to fit in your suitcase?

Lexi: A lot of that is going into my wheeled suitcase, but a lot of the stuff on the counter is going into my carry-on bag.

This is actually less than I took to Japan last summer because I don't have to pack suits this time.

When it comes time to actually put everything in, I will probably eliminate a few items that I decide that I won't need enough to warrant their extra weight. It's all about packing light...

How many bags did you have to take to Japan? geuss what Aslan did!! he got into the ceiling through the rafters in the unfinished part of the basement(the cat room where
the furnace is)and got stuck under the stairs! so my mom had cut a hole in the dry wall to get him out!we haven't fixed the wall yet because we're not sure that he won't do it again! but he hasn't done it again since so i don't know what to think!

Packinng all that stuff must take awhile. How long will/did it take to pack it all?

Wow--I'm glad you got Aslan back. He seems to be having some trouble obeying the rules of not jumping out windows and not crawling into the ceiling.

As for the bags I took to Japan, I took the one on wheels and two carry-ons. I think I am going to take the same for Australia.

HaleeRae: It took a while to pack, but I was watching the Reds game and doing other things at the same time. I won't be totally done packing until the morning I leave when I finally zip-up the bag for good.

there's only 11 stops?

Lexi: There are really just 10 because they have counted Sydney as both 1 and 11. But, we are also in Hilo, Hawaii for three nights, so I guess it can be called 11 stops total.

Miss Young: Sorry to hear about having to move your room...that's not much fun...especially if you have to move it again in August!

Mr. Heiden,
I am not sure that you have 30 pairs of socks in that pile. And be sure to take an extra bag to bring my 'roo home in! Remember --- wear sunscreen, too!

Aunt Nancy: I have a lot of requests for kangaroos...I'll do my best to fill all of the requests. I am thinking though that customs may be a little sticky when I try to bring in several large, upset roos....

Yes, I have heard great things about Vegimite....a yeast made spread that I guess tastes terrible!

That is the messiest I have ever seen your front room, Mark. My goodness, didn't it just kill you to have items out on your floor?

Mr.Heiden,
I just started practicing base today. I had the problem from base 10 convert
to 15 to base 3. When I did it on a peice of paper I ended up with 35. My mom helped me but, I still don't get why the computer said the answer was 120.
