I am a third grade gifted and talented teacher at Brooks School Elementary (Hamilton Southeastern Schools) in Fishers, Indiana. I was fortunate to have been chosen to receive a Fulbright-Hays Seminars Abroad scholarship to travel and study the ancient, delicate, and unique environment in Australia from June 14th - July 15th of 2006. This blog will be updated regularly for my students, family, colleagues, and friends during my trip.
I found out today that my trip will be to Australia! That was my first choice for the trip, though I know I would have loved the Thailand/Vietnam trip as well. The links to the right include one page that lists the basic description of the trip that I will take this summer. Now that I know where I am going, I can start to plan and prepare for what should be a wonderful trip down under.

I can't wait until Summer in too! By the way... have you figured out the GrEEn GlaSS dOOr, if you haven't then heres a clue, I'm in your out. Green Glass Door is also ALL in. It's nothing personal, it is a riddle! Think about the way it is spelled, and see what they have in common! Hope you have a TERRIFFIC trip!!

I bet it is awesome going to Australia! Espescially thinking about it! Do you know of anything you are going to do there at the moment?
Hannah: You have been busy writing...thank you. I thought it might be you writing....you do use home row when you type, right? I want you to at least use the RIGHT way of typing since you have invented your own way of holding a pencil!
I haven't received my itenery yet about what I will be doing in Australia. I can't wait to find out...I should later this week.

That's great! I will try to keep you posted while I'm in Chicago. I agree with Jacob E. when he said to go see the amusement parks, the Sydney opera house and the zoo. Get Nemo's autograph for me! He should be at P. Sherman, 42 Wallaby Way, Sydney!
When I see Nemo I will say hi for you Alyssa. Dori as well.
And, yes Jacob, I hope to see some of those things you listed as well--especially the zoo.

my friend {that is four} likes make-up so she wants to go to australia because she thinks there will be lots of lip stick there.{forest make lip stick and there are mant forests there}
